species in natural and artificial photosynthetic systems, including
proteins, model compounds, and semiconductor nanoparticles
using both steady-state and laser pulse pump/x-ray pulse probe
X-ray absorption spectroscopy.

Electronic structures and molecular dynamics studies in
photoinduced energy and electron transport processes of
self-assembled molecular systems and potential applications in
solar energy conversion and information storage using ultrafast
laser spectroscopy, time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy
and molecular modeling.
